Commute Circle ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Commute Circle.
This Privacy Policy applies to our app and its associated subdomains (collectively, our "Service") alongside our application, Commute Circle. By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
We do not track users across third-party apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information. All data we collect is used solely to operate and improve the Commute Circle service.

We collect information from you when you register on our app or use the Service:
This information is used exclusively for app functionality — specifically, account creation, commute matching, and communication between circle members. It is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.
Commute Circle collects the end-user data necessary to provide the Service directly from you. Your account is authenticated through Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email and password — we do not use any government identity-verification service, and we do not collect social media profile data unless you explicitly choose to connect a social account.
We may receive limited information from third-party fraud-detection or abuse-prevention services when you register, to help us maintain a safe, verified community. We do not collect or purchase data from data brokers or marketing partners.
We may share the information we collect only with trusted service providers who help us operate the app — such as hosting, database, and maps and location services. All such providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purpose of providing services to us. We do not sell personal information.
We may also disclose personal and non-personal information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including subpoenas), to protect our rights and interests or those of a third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to otherwise comply with applicable court orders, laws, rules, and regulations.
Commute Circle collects personal information that you submit to us during registration and use of the app. We may also receive limited personal information about you from third-party fraud-prevention services as described above.

By submitting your email address on this app, you agree to receive service-related emails from us. These include account confirmations, match notifications, and support replies. You can unsubscribe from optional communications at any time by clicking the opt-out link in any email. We only send emails to people who have authorised us to contact them. We do not send unsolicited commercial emails.
Your email address is used only for service communications directly related to your Commute Circle account and matches. We do not use email addresses for advertising audience targeting or share them with marketing partners.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from non-essential emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
We keep your information only so long as we need it to provide Commute Circle to you and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. This is also the case for anyone we share your information with and who carries out services on our behalf. When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we'll either remove it from our systems or depersonalise it so that we can't identify you.
When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 60 days.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All sensitive information is transmitted using industry-standard encryption in transit. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only, and we regularly review our security practices.
We cannot, however, guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to Commute Circle. We will notify you in a timely manner if a data breach occurs that may affect your rights or freedoms.
Commute Circle is incorporated in Singapore. Information collected via our app may be processed by our hosting or service providers, who may be located in other countries. We ensure that any international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections, consistent with applicable data protection laws.
You have the right to request updates, corrections, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. You can exercise these rights by:

We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of Commute Circle — provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose information (including personal information) about you to our corporate affiliates. Any information provided to our corporate affiliates will be treated in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Singapore without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore in connection with any action or dispute arising under or in connection with this Privacy Policy.
Our website uses cookies to support site functionality and remember your preferences. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. We use cookies to keep your session working correctly and to remember settings such as language preferences. We never place personally identifiable information in cookies.
You may set your browser to block cookies, but doing so may prevent parts of our website from working correctly. Different browsers make different controls available — see your browser's help menu for more information.
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.
Commute Circle is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at hello@commutecircle.app. We will promptly delete any such information from our systems.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service or by email) before changes take effect and give you an opportunity to review them. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy.
By using Commute Circle or registering an account, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Commute Circle Service. The Service may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by us. When you navigate away from our Service, your interaction with those sites is subject to their own rules and policies.
We use a small number of third-party services to help operate Commute Circle. These services are used exclusively to support the app — not for advertising or tracking.
In accordance with Apple's App Store privacy requirements, the following table describes how Commute Circle collects and uses your data. Commute Circle does not track users as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency policy. We do not link your data to third-party data for advertising or sell it to data brokers.

Commute Circle does not currently collect any additional data (such as analytics or crash data) that is not linked to your account.

We have confirmed that Name is selected only under App Functionality — specifically for displaying the user's profile to their circle members and for commute matching. It is not selected under any tracking category, including Third-Party Advertising or Developer's Advertising or Marketing.
